In Advent Foretold, Gary and Wanda Sanseri present a serious study of Scripture for the thirty-one days of December. Each day includes a reproducible line drawing suitable for coloring and a devotional. The first sixteen days discuss the prophecies from the beginning of the Bible in regards to a Messiah. The Sanseris take each prophecy point-by-point, asking questions for the family to consider, and providing the answers. (See below a sample of the picture and write up for December 14.)
From December 17 to December 31, the devotionals follow the theme of “fulfillment.” During this time the events immediately leading up to and right after Christ’s birth are studied. Contemporary stories, references from other books, and Christmas carols support the points of how prophecies were fulfilled.
Advent Foretold ends with the words to the Christmas carols and an essay entitled “A Clear Path to God” which provides “a clear understanding of some basic truths” “necessary for sound conversions.”
Professional artwork ideal for children to color. Patterns can be purchased for an Advent Calendar tied to the readings in Advent Foretold. Either used alone as a book, or together with the calendar banner, this devotional aid is designed to be used year after year as a treasured family heirloom.

"Advent Foretold provides a scholarly, well-organized Bible study to bring deeper meaning to the season of Christ’s birth. By including devotionals for every day in December, the Sanseris take the focus off of the actual holiday, its preparations, and aftermath, and re-focus on the truths of the Bible and the promises of Christ."
"It has beome a tradition in our home, one I hope my children will continue."
"There are all sorts of devotionals on the market that are full of games and activities to fill time. This guide studies the Scriptures and spends enough time on each verse to allow it to sink in and speak for itself. No fluff or extraneous games are necessary. I really believe this devotional will make a deep and profound impression on the hearts and minds of those who use it." <a href="http://www.thehomeschoolmagazine.com/Homeschool_Reviews/reviews.php?rid=46" _cke_saved_href="http://www.thehomeschoolmagazine.com/Homeschool_Reviews/reviews.php?rid=46" "=""> See Full Review from The Old Schoolhouse
